How we got here
Built from a real problem, in a real place.
Exactix was born out of a problem that never got solved. A growing construction company in Burley, Idaho cycled through three or four time-tracking apps over five or six years — and none of them worked.
Timecards were filled out after the day ended. Reporting was inconsistent. Managing a bilingual crew across multiple job numbers made an already complicated process even harder — Spanish and English speaking workers alike were overwhelmed by job codes, record keeping, and software that was never built with them in mind.
Our owner knew exactly what was missing. He set out to build something purpose-built for crews like his — simple enough for anyone on the job site, and powerful enough for the people running the numbers. QR technology at the center. Complexity left at the door.
